工程教育创新发展
工程科技人才是中国实现创新发展依靠的中坚力量，工程教育是国家创新的重要引擎。我国未来社会发展的速度与质量在很大程度上取决于工程科技创新能力，取决于工程科技人才这一创新主体的质量。因此，工程教育必须适应社会、经济、科技变化的趋势，不断变革创新，才能更好地承担起“创新引擎”这一崭新角色。2018年9月24—25日，清华大学、中国工程院和联合国教科文组织共同举办了第一届高端国际工程教育论坛。来自美国麻省理工学院、加拿大多伦多大学、瑞典皇家理工学院、英国帝国理工学院、意大利都灵理工大学、德国慕尼黑工业大学、日本东京工业大学、日本东京大学、北京大学、浙江大学、上海交通大学、北京航空航天大学、北京理工大学、哈尔滨工业大学、武汉大学、西北工业大学、华南理工大学、西安交通大学、大连理工大学、东北大学、新竹清华大学等国内外知名大学校长、专家学者、研究机构和企业代表参加了此论坛。校长们围绕“工程教育的挑战和一流工科建设”和“面向可持续发展的工程教育”做主旨报告。同时，论坛还举办了八个分论坛进行报告和讨论，主题分别为产学合作新模式、工科实践能力培养、人工智能与工程教育创新、国际合作与工程教育创新、工程教育创新实践、创新创业教育、工程伦理教育、工程教育的多样性。
本书的主要阅读对象为教育主管部门及相关企事业单位管理人员、从事工程教育的科研人员、教师以及在校研究生和大学生。
