本书是由中国成人教育协会朱新均会长主持的2008年度教育部人文社会科学研究专项任务项目和全国教育科学“十一五”规划教育部重点课题“学习型社会建设研究”成果(共2册),中央和有关地方教育行政部门、研究机构、企事业单位的相关人员参与了本课题研究。该课题为宏观层面的重大社会建设应用性研究课题,旨在从中国的基本国情和建设学习型社会实际出发,以科学发展观为引领,以反映学习型社会建设的时代特征、中国特色、建设策略为原则,既阐明学习型社会建设的理论基础,又提出前瞻性思路和可行性对策。
