《高级职业英语》系列教材自2009年出版发行至今，已有五个年头了。这五年中，教材因其鲜明的特色赢得了广大师生的肯定和喜爱，不少教师还与我们交流分享使用过程中的心得体会，并对教材不足之处提出了宝贵意见。
近年来，随着我国高等职业教育改革和发展的不断深入，英语教学也发生了很大变化。为了更好地顺应高职英语教学发展的新形势，高级职业英语系列教材编写组于2013年启动了教材的修订工作。修订后的教材除保持其原有的“编写理念上的先进性，教学内容上的职业性，岗位技能上的针对性，编排体系上的合理性”等鲜明特色外，更加符合市场经济环境下用人单位对高职毕业生英语技能的客观需求，更加符合英语语言教学的客观规律，也期待赢得更多师生的肯定与支持。
《高级职业英语拓展教程》较前一版作出了较大的改动，希望能帮助读者更好地学习高级职业英语。
