Annual Report on China Graduate Education Annual Report under the guidance of the AcademicDegrees Committee of State Council with the joint endeavor of ACGS members is conducted todynamically exhibit the achievements of China's graduate education giving in depth insightfulexploration of hot and /or difficult issues targeted to provide systematic and affluent materials for thegeneration of national policies and also to contribute towards theoretical research.
Annual Report on China Graduate Education 2011 English version is the first English annualreport compiled by ACGS it includes the General Report of Annual Report on China GraduateEducation 2011 Chinese version however the 6 Thematic Reports which exists within theChinese version and the Appendices are not included in the English version.The report providesgeneral introduction of China's graduate education reform in 2011 with our corresponding analysis andrecommendations especially focusing on the hot issues of the current graduate cultivation system such as examination approach to recruit doctoral candidates curriculum and teaching supervisors' instruction medium-term assessment and qualifying test for students involved in master-doctorateprogram graduate research financing and doctoral dissertation review.In this report a method ofquestionnaire survey and research is adopted.Through a relatively comprehensive survey of 56Chinese graduate schools we come to realize that although the majority has made considerableaccomplishment in quality improvement there still exist a number of deep-level problems.
